Restaurant Week Cocktail Recipes

With some of KC's finest restaurants offering carryout and delivery, it seems fitting to pair it with a high-class cocktail. Enjoy this list of J. Rieger & Co.'s classic cocktails to enhance your at-home experience.

Vasitos

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Rieger’s Midwestern Dry Gin
  • 1/2 oz KC Canning Co Shrub (we love the Blood Orange/Ginger)
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 5 oz Mango Cart - Mango Wheat Ale
  • Garnish with Orange slice, Mint and Tajin Rim

    Directions
    Start by garnishing the rim of your cocktail glass with Tajin. Combine all other ingredients (except the Mango Cart Wheat Ale) in a shaker tin with ice. Shake vigorously for 3-4 seconds. Strain your cocktail into your garnished glass, and top with approximately 5 oz of Mango Cart Wheat Ale as well as some additional ice. Add your remaining garnishes and enjoy.


    Horsefeather

    Ingredients

    • 1.5 oz Rieger’s KC Whiskey
    • 4 oz Cock’n Bull Ginger Beer
    • 4-5 Heavy Dashes of Angostura Bitters
    • Garnished with a Lemon Wedge

      Directions
      Combine the whiskey, and ginger beer in a Collins glass with ice. Float Angostura bitters across the top of the cocktail and garnish with a lemon wedge.


      Old Dog

      Ingredients

      • 1 oz Rieger’s Vodka
      • .5 oz Aperol
      • 4 oz Grapefruits Soda
      • Garnish with a lime wedge

      Combine all ingredients in a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with lime wedge. 


      Spanish Gin and Tonic

       

      Ingredients

      • 2 oz Rieger’s Gin
      • 4 oz Fevertree Tonic Water
      • Garnish with a lemon wheel

      Directions
      Combine all ingredients in a wine glass with ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel


      Espresso Martini

      Ingredients

      • 3/4 oz Caffè Amaro
      • 1 oz Rieger’s Vodka
      • 1 oz Espresso (or cold brew)
      • 1/2 oz rich simple syrup (2 parts sugar to 1 part water

      Directions
      Combine and shake all ingredients in shaker tin with ice. Strain into cocktail coupe or martini glass.
